You know how the one thing you used to hate the most can be the one thing keeping you in good spirits?

I'm sure i won't be alone when i say during the school semester we all complained about the tremendous amount of projects and we alll remember all the late nights rushing deadlines till we were exhausted/semi bald from pulling out our hair.

The strange thing is. I'm doing it voluntarily now? Like i find working on my Major project synopsis and log book and joy? I actually look forward to doing it and i guess as it gets longer i feel a sense of accomplishment.

Strange how things change.

Could this be a sign to carry on in this area rather then give it all up?

I wonder.

Back to the reason for this entry though. My results for my last academic semester are out and i must say God's been really good and i've seen grades i've never seen before. In fact i can proudly say now that i have the full spectrum of grades.

* If you look closely enough, you'll see people in red jump suits on one of the floors. Thats how big in proportion this rig is.*

While the average poly student is enjoying life during the holidays, the people of my cohort have spent nearly everyday in school on the more incredible subject called GMP.

The reason being the deadline is on Monday.

If you ask me, we totally are the ones who know how to procrastinate till the 11th hour.

Record breakers since year 1. It can only get better. =)

For the record, not only do we spend the days in school, we spend our nights continuing our work.

You know how you spend hours doing something and perfecting it and when your finally satisfied with it, you click save only to watch in horror as your bullet points lose their numbering and go random.

Trust me, not funny. I almost had a heart attack. By some blessing it unbugged itself somehow after a just undoed and redoed the past few lines of my work. Thank God.

Someone has to invent a smarter bullet system i tell you. The current one is super un user friendly.

And this is how a simple formatting job took me 3 hours. :S

I thank God for carrying me through once again.
The deadline seemed impossible with the workload i had. Add to the fact my group mates had difficulties which resulted in me overhauling the work didn't help either.

So i prayed and got a migraine last night. Needless to say i couldn't do work and had to sleep and i woke up this morning to rush everything.

On an average day, this would be fine except i was supposed to have a quiz in the afternoon which i totally didn't know anything about.

In desperation i asked for a miracle and just before i left my home my phone got flooded with messages that the test had once again been postponed.

Call it Grace and the power of prayer. =)

Later i found out, my lecturer had no choice cause many people complained they were unprepared and get this, almost half my cohort threatened to go on MC.

Talk about unity. Don't even know what got into them. I didn't even have a hand in anything or at least not directly.

God You are AWESOME. =)

School's been really mad. Virtually everyday i end up having more and more assignments piled on my already full plate.

Want to know the secret of not being burned out? Simple, spend the time you have on facebook and msn. Okay, don't quote me on the above. but seriously i'm only here now alive cause God's been really great. How He can turn a morning i wake up realsing i have nothing prepared for the meeting ahead into one where i somehow manage to get an abdundance of information in a short peroid of time i have no idea but totallly awesome.

Its really weird when you realize your life as the everyday like some other normal student cover gets blown and more and lecturers discover your parent works in the school. On any other person it wouldn't be too bad but in this case when the parent in question is someone of who's position may have inevitably stepped on toes. Not so nice. Read: Dangerous.

But its been a good 2 years when things were under wraps so i thank God for that. I liked being the everyday normal student.

*Disclaimer*The following is a personal entry that i initially thought of privatizing, but just need to get off my chest. Toes might be stepped on inevitably and things you probably never knew about me depicted. This entry or any part thereof should never be taken out of context and is and will always be for eyes only.

To begin let me clear the air and state for the record that I'm a closely guarded person who does not like people knowing me too well. That and the fact that i find it extremely difficult to trust people.

As a result of the above i have few friends believe it or not. But I'm every bit human and thus i do like people to converse with and have productive conversation. I'll admit it get lonely at times which is why i really appreciate when people treat me nice, Call it my soft spot due to a neglected childhood or whatever you want, end of the day, if someone goes out their way to be nice to me, I’m for lack of a better word touched inside.

Another thing about me is I’m not a very expressive person, not that I cannot talk to people and all but more that sometimes I have a problem expressing myself face to face with someone, even my parents. Case in point, they have recently began this quest to seemly try to spoil me and i do enjoy it, but there's always the internal debate that goes on where mind says I must thank them but i end up with no guts to do so. My parents mind you the very people who raised me.

You might ask how I can live with it, but what I lack in conversing I make up in actions. Not going to go into the details because the point of this is by far then to redeem myself. The point here is simple; once in a while I do get carried away when trying to show my gratitude in actions. It’s not deliberate in any way and I’m apologetic if people do get the wrong idea but it really is second nature to me to be doing what I am. By no means do I have an ulterior motive I’m just trying to in my own way, show you how grateful I am.

How you want to interpret this I leave to your digression but by no means am I trying to defend my actions in any way,

When you try to be a hero and not take your meds when you have to, you essentially will lay in bed tormented by the overwhelming pain not able to sleep.

Then you finally succumb and take them only then wishing they had faster half lives. Eventually, they kick in and you finally acto sleep. Only to be awakened time and again for no reason.

Then you have a really queer dream and you wake up with a start and can't go back to sleep anymore cause it was so unbelievable and also the fact that its 2 PM.

So its more or less official.

My dad's been named Project Director. Now on any other occasion this would be fantastic news except in this case its for a overseas posting to Batam. More money aside, what it essentially means is that i will only get to see my dad on the weekends and it for the span of 2 years mind you.

I don't know the appropriate response. Sure there are perks that come with this scenario, but to be parent-less is just weird i guess. It doesn't help that my dad's the joker of the house either.

Being only the 2nd official day of holidays I'm surprised but i'll have to say i'm bored. Not bored the feeling but more the despairing worthlessness that comes with spending all day in bed. The rainy weather is not helping either only dampens the mood further.

Lethargy setting in at unimaginable rate. I blame the hectic semester for reprogramming me to be a very efficient work monster that doing nothing now just seems out of the ordinary. Factor in my ADD and i'm a total wreak wanting to get my hands on something ANYTHING.

What happened to the good old days where i had no qualms stoning my life away i wonder cause this new me is just detestable.

On a brighter note, i succumbed to the temptations of the brilliant phones in the market and got myself a new phone. Cost an arm and a leg but i like it. Even if its like way smarter then me that i'm finding it hard to comprehend. It however had been strangely silent so i wonder if there's actually a problem with it. I need intervention

Probably will die if this goes on for the rest of the week.

Even if i woke up barely being able to move due to bad joints, missed 2 buses and reached school only to find out the quiz had been pushed forward and i was not prepared. Then came something that totally changed my mood and finally admist never ending chills,pain and nausea, i finished another quiz and was glad i could finally get home.

You know you have no life when its a festive occasion and you up at some insane hour trying to meet all deadlines conveniently set the day after the holiday.

I mean if i didn't celebrate, i would not mind as much but try juggling visitations, luncheons and reunion dinners all at once coupled with the work. I even resorted to bringing my work much to the amazement of my relatives but my feeble attempts proved unsatisfactory so here i am trying up lose ends pushing myself as far as i can.

So the reunion gathering turned into a Wii session which was of most entertainment to everyone.

Spent the day after school with like the retail group on the pretext of visiting Charles and Keith at Vivo which turned in to an eating cum playing cum bonding cum shopping session.

Totally unexpected but enjoyable.

Even more beneficial was the disclosure of the impression i give to those who don't know me in school. I mean how was i to know. But at least i know now so me shall try to be nicer.

Hectic week ahead. Time to get started and stop resting.

Entertaining is watching almost the entire household try to keep fit using the Wii.

Be it Wii sports or Wii fit. Even my parents are doing it which impresses their son(me) at their complete grasp of technology in all honesty.

So as i was pushing myself physically just now by running like 4 k twice in a week.

I though to myself. If i just put in half as much effort in to running of my life, would it be any different? Study more, play more. socialize more and procrastinate less.

Then i figured, its different i guess, physical exertion is all in the mind. While studies needs the mind. I can psycho myself to go to extremes no doubt, but will a thousand hours of studying help if nothing goes in?

But i guess its worth a try?

So my stay at Cg retreat comprised a mixture of Wii, Dai di and some Bean game.

Best part being of course that i went all the way to Jurong.

Then headed home at 4am to crash which meant i pretty much died till the evening when i rose again from deep sleep to go received deh from the airport. Totally worth it man even if i was exhausted cause hadn't seen them in like lonnnggg time. Dinner and stoning ensured as usual which i realize now is the building block of our friendship. =)

Well. time to go run. been 3 weeks? So unfit. Don't want to be a ~~fat, old, abnormal~~ kid.

So today marked the start of the rest of semester 2.2 and in all honesty. It ~~sucked.~~ was i quote "interesting"

I mean how many people get to start school so near the end of the year and even better have quizzes and deadlines. All to happen before Friday. If one word could say it all it would be Awesome with the capital A.

So Happy year folks. I know mine will be fun.

Thankfully i have a miraculous God. =)

Schools disappointingly starting again and congrats to me on being totally behind time on all my work.

Add that and the quizzes on the first 2 days of school equal me right now really screwed.

Remember that post earlier about the 37 inch LCD TV?

Well my parents for some reason are on some very good mood and after years of being TV-less.

I'm glad to say as of just now we now possess a 4oinch Sony Full HD TV. No idea whats happening here but my parents decided to buy a Wii as well.

Its just shocking the change in their stand. There's even word we might get cable.

Ironic the number of things that can go wrong the day you actually decide to do work.

1. The Wireless internet seems to work everywhere but where you need it. Ie the library. I mean i'm even posting this entry from the bus stop opposite school?

2. On any given day, the library is like the equivalent to the north pole so the smart me thinking i would stay late brought a jacket to prevent myself from dying from hypothermia.Turns out for some reason, the temperature was sweltering and couldn't focus at all. I mean room temperature is one thing but to the extent i started breaking into a sweat made me call it a day.

So i brought all my stuff in anticipation for NOTHING.

Super fed up. gahh.

Its been a seemingly relaxed week compared to the last few I've been having.
I attribute it to not as many project meetings considering how most of the deadlines for submission were met last week and God Grace.
Anymore and my body would have revolted.

Once in a while Joshua embarks on journeys he's not sure if he will regret like 10 years down the line or maybe even 2 years for that matter.

Have to be clear where you draw the line Joshua's, you've had too many disputations in the last 2 years alone some of which ended not entirely too pleasant.

I cannot even begin to describe what I'm feeling now.

Losing my 2 thumbdrives yesterday was bad enough,

Today i sat down to do tutorials ans i realized i couldn't do them. AT ALL!! Its depressing and despairing that its only the second week of school and i'm lagging behind. While a number of my friends have even started revision, here i am not even able to complete the tasks i need to let alone move on to study more.

Honest to goodness, i procrastinated, I'll admit but not in any large way as i used to.

Sigh, I need Thy Grace and power to carry me through this semester. =(
